Did you not read the words

of the terrorist, who cried

before firing an AK-47

into a crowd?

You remind me,

with your thoughtful words

made thoughtless

by their uselessness

of Christ himself.

“Forgive them,

for they know not

what they do.”

You remind me

why I prefer Satan so:

he, at least,

does not forgive

ignorance.

God

made the world, you know.

How could anyone

forgive that?

Let us act,

rather than pray:

tell the truth

to shame the devil

(if the devil can be shamed

or were ever once untruthful.)

Change the truth

to shame God.
